Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team. As an RPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional resident care, adhering to established protocols and physician orders.
- Conduct regular observations, reporting, and recording of vital signs, symptoms, and conditions, and initiate remedial health measures as needed.
- Organize and direct functions and activities related to resident care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Assist in the management of nursing and personal care staff, providing guidance and support as required.
- Train and develop new staff members, referring concerns to the Director of Care.
Requirements
- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset but not required.
- A strong passion for caring for seniors and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.
- Registration/eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
- Previous experience in long-term care is an asset, with comprehensive knowledge of duties.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks in order of urgency.
- Excellent communication and comprehension skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
