Position Overview

We are currently looking for a Red Seal Certified Industrial Mechanic to join our dynamic team.

Role Summary

The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude. The successful applicant will hold a Red Seal certification and will prioritize safety, quality, and ongoing improvement within our manufacturing facility. This position is based in our operational site and reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.

This is a full-time role involving rotating 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm), with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $45 to $50, contingent upon skills, knowledge, and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance on industrial machinery, including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities.
  • Identify and isolate the root causes of equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Ensure the maintenance workspace is organized and clean.
  • Execute various other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a Red Seal Millwright certification and a minimum of three years of relevant hands-on experience in repair, maintenance, and installation within a production environment.
  • A strong commitment to continuous improvement and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to comprehend and complete reports and documentation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting and work under direct supervision.
  • Willingness to extend work hours as necessary to address significant equipment breakdowns.

Working Conditions

  • Work within a manufacturing environment that may require varying levels of physical labor, including lifting weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Climbing heights exceeding 10 feet.
  • Working in confined spaces.
  • Utilization of hand tools.
  • High levels of sensory attention are required.
