Job Summary

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Accident Benefit Claims Processor to join our team. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for processing accident benefit claims in a fully remote setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process accident benefit claims in a timely and efficient manner
  • Conduct thorough investigations and assessments of new claims
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills in determining the course of investigation a claim should take
  • Create recovery claims packages and ensure timely management of activities
  • Ensure adequate claims reserving practices and processing payments
  • Identify responsible parties in the process and place on notice
  • Proactively manage diaries and follow up with members and third-party personnel
  • File reporting as per company procedures
  • Provide immediate and effective responses through written and telephone communication
  • Assist with workload for others as applicable
Requirements
  • AB claims handling experience an asset
  • Excellent telephone experience
  • Call volume experience
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and oral
  • Strong organizational and time management skills coupled with strong decision-making skills
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, and/or working towards CIP designation would be preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel
