Job Summary:

CB Canada is seeking a skilled Accident Benefit Administrator to join our team. As an Accident Benefit Administrator, you will be responsible for processing accident benefit claims, including cursory telephone contacts, ongoing processing and assessing new claims, and delivering superior customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process accident benefit claims, including telephone contacts and ongoing processing and assessing new claims.
  • Deliver superior customer service to clients and third-party personnel.
  • Demonstrate good analytical skills in determining the course of investigation a claim should take.
  • Determine recovery prospects via multiple sources.
  • Create recovery claims packages.
  • Timely management of activities.
  • Ensure adequate claims reserving practices/processing payment.
  • Identify responsible parties in the process and place on notice.
  • Proactive diary with and regular follow up calls with members and third-party personnel.
  • File reporting as per company procedures.
  • Ensure immediate and effective responses are provided through written/telephone communication to the following; (lawyers, clients, third parties).
  • Assist with workload for others as applicable (vacation times/buddy system/illnesses).
  • Share ideas and handling procedures with team and management.
Requirements:
  • AB claims handling experience an asset.
  • Excellent telephone experience.
  • Call volume experience.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and oral.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills coupled with strong decision-making skills.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, and/or working towards CIP designation would be preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel.
