Job Summary

Compass Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing overall planning, direction, and control to assigned food service units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct operational audits of regional units to identify areas for improvement and optimize financial performance and operational productivity.
  • Audit units to ensure compliance with company, government, and accrediting agency standards, regulations, and codes regarding food storage, preparation, sanitation, and record keeping.
  • Ensure adherence to company-sponsored retailing and purchasing programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate food quality, temperature, appearance, and portion size, and investigate complaints regarding unit operation.
  • Develop and manage realistic and accurate district forecasts, and monitor unit forecasts to ensure financial performance meets company and client expectations.
  • Recruit and develop management talent, identify training needs, and coach associates to meet staffing and succession planning requirements.
  • Provide direction and support to Food Service Managers to maximize client and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • At least three years of related food service management experience in large volume dining settings and retail environments.
  • Food safety certification an asset.
  • Proven financial management skills, including ability to control product and labor costs.
  • Strong leadership, motivator, and mentorship skills.
  • Detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office.
