Senior Analyst - Natural Catastrophe Pricing

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Analyst to focus on the pricing and modeling of Property Catastrophe business in Canada, while also providing support across various Lines of Business and regions as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of submission data to execute technical pricing and modeling for reinsurance treaties.
  • Work closely with Underwriting teams to deliver pricing insights, spearhead pricing studies, and uphold pricing models and parameters.
  • Emphasize support for the Canada Property Catastrophe business, while also extending assistance to other Lines of Business and regions.
  • Oversee portfolio profitability and implement adjustments to parameters and methodologies as required.
  • Engage in client interactions, audits, and renewal discussions when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in actuarial pricing, emphasizing P&C principles and statistical methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of CAT modeling principles and familiarity with third-party vendor models.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and adaptability to new digital tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Completion of CAS Actuarial exams or a strong actuarial background is highly preferred.
