McMaster University's DeGroote School of Business seeks a dedicated and knowledgeable Teaching Assistant to support the K731 Project Management course within the Information Systems area.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the academic success of MBA students by providing guidance, facilitating discussions, and assisting with various aspects of the course.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engaging tutorials and oversee laboratory sessions, fostering a collaborative learning environment for students.
- Prepare thoroughly for lectures and meetings with the instructor, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of course material.
- Provide timely and effective student consultation through email correspondence and office hours, addressing inquiries and offering academic support.
- Contribute to the grading process by marking assignments and entering grades accurately and efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the instructor, contributing to the overall success of the course.
Qualifications:
- A minimum grade of A- in the K731 Project Management course or equivalent academic achievement is required.
- Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential for this role.
- Experience working with students in an academic setting is highly desirable.
