Position: Full Time Floor Leader

Weekly: 30-39 hours

Role Overview:

As a Floor Leader, you will be instrumental in assisting the Store Management Team in various facets of the business. Your responsibilities will encompass driving sales, managing store operations, and facilitating training sessions. Collaborating with fellow leaders, you will ensure that every aspect of the store operates seamlessly, delivering an outstanding customer experience, fostering a motivated workforce, and achieving operational excellence.

Your daily activities will primarily take place on the sales floor, where you will lead and motivate a team of sales associates to meet and exceed their targets. By cultivating a culture of enthusiasm and positivity, you will contribute to a productive and enjoyable work environment, resulting in satisfied customers and engaged employees. The Floor Leader position is dedicated to enhancing the customer experience through exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Customer Engagement:

  • Sales Performance: Utilize performance metrics to coach and guide the sales team effectively, making necessary adjustments to optimize the sales floor layout and achieve sales objectives. Take ownership of your results and actively contribute to the store's overall sales growth.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Set a standard for delivering a premier customer experience on the sales floor, including engaging product demonstrations. Collaborate with your team to exceed daily sales targets and foster a culture of outstanding customer service.
  • Brand Advocacy: Educate customers about Lush's core values, including ethical practices and sustainability, through community engagement and in-store initiatives.
  • Product Knowledge: Continuously enhance your understanding of products to provide informed recommendations tailored to customer needs.

Team Development:

  • Coaching: Mentor and train Sales Ambassadors and peers on effective sales strategies and product knowledge to enhance their performance and contribute to team growth.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Promote open dialogue and actively listen to team members' perspectives on diversity and inclusion, fostering a collaborative and respectful workplace.

Operational Management:

  • Cash Management: Oversee cash handling processes, including transactions and store security, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Attendance Monitoring: Lead by example in punctuality and attendance, encouraging a healthy work-life balance among team members.
  • Store Presentation: Maintain an organized and visually appealing store environment to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Inventory Management: Support inventory practices and assist management with stock-related tasks, ensuring product availability and presentation.
  • Compliance: Assist management in upholding store policies and procedures to ensure a safe and respectful workplace.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • At least 1 year of experience in:
    • customer service and sales
    • cash handling and store operations
    • supervisory roles involving coaching and training
    • problem-solving in customer service contexts
    • fast-paced retail environments
  • Passion for skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business practices
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred:

  • Experience with consultation-based customer service
  • Ability to analyze sales data
  • Background in skincare or cosmetics
  • Experience in diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Proficiency in additional languages
