Position Overview

The Store Manager collaborates closely with the District Supervisor to manage all aspects of store operations, while also devising and executing strategies aimed at enhancing sales and profitability. This role encompasses responsibilities in merchandising, customer engagement, and the training and development of team members.

The Store Manager is expected to uphold all company policies and procedures, serving as a role model who exemplifies professionalism and integrity. Creating an environment of trust and respect within the team is paramount. The ability to address customer and employee concerns with an open mind, listen actively, and make fair decisions is essential. Monitoring team performance and taking prompt action on any performance issues is a key responsibility. The Store Manager is also tasked with fostering a positive experience for both customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Partnering with the District Supervisor to formulate and implement strategies that meet the store's sales and profit objectives.
  2. Training the store team (both existing staff and new hires) on company standards and protocols as outlined in the employee manual.
  3. Addressing performance issues with the support of the District Supervisor and resolving conflicts effectively.
  4. Recruiting and nurturing talent by inspiring the team and acknowledging outstanding performance.
  5. Carrying out administrative and operational tasks as needed.
  6. Executing opening and closing procedures in accordance with operational guidelines.
  7. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  8. Preparing and managing the weekly employee schedule.
  9. Resolving customer complaints promptly and effectively.
  10. Adhering to all head office directives regarding store operations.
  11. Managing all incoming merchandising shipments.
  12. Processing returns to head office as necessary.
  13. Following company policies and regulations as specified in the employee manual.
  14. Handling cash, credit, and debit transactions at the register.
Qualifications

  1. 2-3 years of experience in retail management.
  2. High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  3. Experience or education in visual merchandising.
  4. Strong business acumen.
  5. Proven ability to develop people and assess talent.
  6. Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  7. Ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Capability to delegate tasks and take ownership of responsibilities.
  9. Ability to lead a team in a positive and inclusive manner.
Physical Requirements

  1. Ability to stand for extended periods and climb ladders.
  2. Ability to move, lift, and handle merchandise and fixtures weighing up to 30 pounds.
Availability Requirements

  1. Availability for days, evenings, and weekends.
The anticipated wage for this position is $27.01 per hour.
