About the Role

The Store Manager at Ardene is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all store operations and driving sales and profitability. This role requires a vibrant and highly motivated leader with a passion for fashion retail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the District Supervisor to develop and implement strategies to achieve sales and profit budgets.
  • Train store teams on company standards and programs, ensuring a high level of customer service and sales performance.
  • Take action on low performance and resolve conflicts, maintaining a positive and inclusive team environment.
  • Recruit and retrain talent, motivating teams and recognizing good performance.
  • Conduct administrative and operational duties, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, maintaining a safe and secure store environment.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to, promoting a positive work culture.
  • Prepare and manage employee weekly schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve them in a timely manner, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Comply with all head office requests regarding store operations, maintaining effective communication.
  • Process and manage incoming merchandising shipments, ensuring accurate inventory management.
  • Handle all returns to head office as required, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Comply with policy and regulations as per the company's employee manual, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Process cash, credit, and debit purchases at the register, maintaining accurate financial records.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years retail management experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience and/or education in visual merchandising.
  • Solid business acumen, with a proven track record of driving sales and profitability.
  • Proven people development skills, with the ability to assess talent and make informed decisions.
  • Strong time management and priority-setting skills, with the ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to delegate tasks and take ownership, maintaining a positive and inclusive team environment.
  • Ability to lead a team in a positive and inclusive manner, promoting a high level of customer satisfaction.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and climb a ladder.
  • Move, lift, and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store (weighing up to 30 pounds).
