About the Role

Chef MI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes and preferences of our customers.
    • Plan and execute menu items, including preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Kitchen Management
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
    • Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Quality Control
    • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
    • Conduct regular taste tests to ensure that our dishes meet our quality standards.
  • Staff Development
    • Train and develop kitchen staff to improve their skills and knowledge.
    • Provide feedback and coaching to staff to help them improve their performance.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications
    • Safe Food Handling certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and management skills
    • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
