Chef Job Description

Chef MI is seeking a skilled and experienced chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for planning and preparing delicious meals for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning: Plan and prepare menus that meet the needs of our customers and align with our culinary vision.
  • Cooking and Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to food safety standards.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate.
