POSITION OVERVIEW

The Facilities Maintenance Technician III is tasked with executing maintenance and repair tasks, including both routine and urgent services on non-technical facility elements (such as general handyman duties related to walls, floors, etc.). This role also involves adhering to established protocols and standards while ensuring compliance with both internal and external regulations, including environmental, health and safety, and fire protection guidelines.

In this role, you will:

Maintain and repair non-technical facility elements Show a willingness to pursue and complete a trades certification or license, or may already be enrolled in such a program

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute tasks in accordance with established protocols and standards Adhere to all internal and external regulations, including environmental, health and safety, and fire protection Conduct regular monitoring and inspection of facilities and non-technical components Provide insights regarding facility conditions and deficiencies, along with recommendations for improvements and repairs Monitor assigned facilities through walkthroughs and inspections Address routine and urgent service requests Perform preventative maintenance and repair tasks on non-technical components within the facility Document resolution data in the service maintenance management database, ensuring quality and compliance with contract requirements Track, monitor, and report the status of maintenance and repair tasks within the service maintenance management database, initiating documents for formal approval as needed Assist in implementing a preventative maintenance program, ensuring deficiencies are identified, recorded, and escalated, with proper documentation maintained Participate in and support facility-related projects Ensure compliance with corporate and legislative policies, procedures, and guidelines related to environmental, health and safety, fire protection, and other applicable requirements Maintain all assigned tools and arrange for repairs or replacements as necessary Submit all expenses in a timely manner Contribute to enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction through professional service delivery Perform other duties as assigned

Work Requirements:

Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school diploma

JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1-3 years

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

1-3 years of experience in facility operations and maintenance High school diploma required Trade-related training is an asset Ability to follow and execute processes related to facility operations and maintenance Skills in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing non-technical facility components Ability to assess facility conditions and suggest enhancements and repairs Willingness to learn and apply knowledge of fire, life, safety, and building codes and standards Strong commitment to environmental, health, and safety practices Excellent client-service orientation with a strong sense of urgency Effective communication skills for data exchange and clarification

Licenses and Professional Accreditation

Demonstrates a commitment to pursuing trades certification or license Valid driver's license required
