Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Educational Research Position

The University of Ottawa is seeking a highly qualified and experienced researcher to fill the position of Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Educational Research. This is a tenure-track academic appointment at the Faculty of Education, with a focus on Indigenous research and education.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in educational research, with a focus on Indigenous communities in Canada
- Teach at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels in a context of interdisciplinary collaboration
- Develop and implement research projects that address the needs of Indigenous communities
- Collaborate with faculty members and researchers from other departments and institutions
- Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations
- Ph.D. in Education or equivalent in a field related to the position
- Demonstrated excellent track record of research in educational research in collaboration with Indigenous communities in Canada
- Ability to teach hybrid and on-line courses
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Passive knowledge of the other official language in Canada (French)
- Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate research excellence in the CRC's identified area(s)
- Regular tenure-track academic appointment at the Faculty of Education
- Salary scale for an Assistant Professor starts at $94,588 (as of May 1, 2023)
- Benefits package, including long-term disability, basic group life insurance, supplementary health insurance, University of Ottawa pension Plan and optional life insurance
- Relocation expenses
