The University of Ottawa is seeking a distinguished scholar to fill a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (CRC) position in Educational Research and Indigenous Studies. The successful candidate will have a strong background in collaborating with Indigenous communities in Canada, teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and demonstrating research excellence in educational research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research: Conduct innovative research in educational research and Indigenous studies, with a focus on collaborating with Indigenous communities in Canada.
- Teaching: Teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels, developing and delivering courses in educational research and Indigenous studies.
- Service: Contribute to the development of the University's research agenda in educational research and Indigenous studies, and engage in service activities that promote Indigenous education and community engagement.
Requirements:
- Education: Ph.D. in Education or a related field.
- Work Experience: Proven record of research excellence, ability to teach in an interdisciplinary setting, proficiency in English, knowledge of French, and preferably an Indigenous language.
- Skills: Research excellence, potential for international recognition, supervision experience, ability to attract external funding, and commitment to Indigenous education.
