Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Mathematical Finance

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Financial Mathematics at the University of Ottawa.
About the PositionThe successful candidate will be expected to establish a research program in financial mathematics, supervise graduate students, and engage in interdisciplinary collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in probability, statistics, or data science.
Responsibilities- Establish a research program in financial mathematics
- Supervise graduate students
- Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration
- Develop undergraduate and graduate programs in financial mathematics
- Ph.D. or equivalent in mathematics, probability, statistics, finance, data science, operations research, actuarial science, or other related fields
- Proof of outstanding independent research achievements in the CRC's identified area(s)
- Solid record with respect to teaching and training of students at the graduate level
- Strong record of external research funding
- Excellent communication skills in either English or French
- Passive knowledge of the other Official Language in Canada
- Regular tenure-track academic appointment in the Faculty of Science
