About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team at 10tation Event Catering. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as coordinating special events and supervising kitchen staff and helpers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate special events, including determining the size of food portions and costs, and ordering supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and training on preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for staff and customers.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, organized, reliability, and time management skills are essential for this role.
