Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
Work Environment

  • Operates within a health care institution, facility, or clinic.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct interviews with clients, develop case histories, and assess their issues.
  • Oversee graduate students, research assistants, and other support staff.
  • Guide fellow counselors and social service personnel.
  • Create individualized treatment plans for clients.
  • Educate clients on health promotion, injury prevention, and treatment options.
  • Deliver therapeutic services to clients.
  • Execute treatment plans effectively.
  • Monitor client progress throughout therapy sessions.
  • Utilize psychological theories and principles to understand behavior and mental processes.
  • Design and implement counseling and intervention programs to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Facilitate therapy sessions and group discussions.
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive records of client interactions.
