Position Overview

Cobra Rebar Services Ltd is seeking a skilled Reinforcing Steel Installer to join our dynamic team. This role involves working in various outdoor settings, often in challenging environments that require a strong commitment to safety and precision.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years in the industry.
Work Environment
  • Work is primarily conducted outdoors in potentially hazardous conditions.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Exposure to noise and fast-paced environments is common.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install scaffolding, falsework, and other platforms for construction.
  • Communicate with crane operators to ensure accurate positioning of materials.
  • Securely align, weld, or bolt structural components as per blueprints.
  • Position and fasten steel bars or metal mesh within concrete forms to enhance structural integrity.
  • Unload and arrange steel units for efficient hoisting.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, maps, and technical drawings.
Certifications
  • Completion of Working at Heights training.
  • WHMIS Certification is required.

  • Proficient in installing reinforcing steel.
  • Experience in assembling and erecting metal buildings.
Transportation Requirements
  • Possession of reliable transportation is essential.
