Position Overview

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent expertise.
Work Environment
  • Work is primarily conducted outdoors.
  • Exposure to hazardous conditions, including working at heights.
  • Ability to work in noisy and confined spaces.
Job Setting
  • Involves fabrication and various job sites.
  • Focus on new construction projects that are not pre-engineered.
Key Responsibilities
  • Construct and install scaffolding, falsework, and other work platforms.
  • Communicate with crane operators to position materials according to technical drawings.
  • Align, weld, or bolt structural components in place.
  • Secure steel bars or metal mesh within concrete forms to enhance structural integrity.
  • Unload and position steel units for efficient hoisting.
  • Interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications accurately.
Certifications and Training
  • Completion of working at heights training.
  • WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) certification.
