Position Overview

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years in a similar role.
Work Environment
  • Work is conducted outdoors and may involve exposure to hazardous conditions.
  • Tasks may require working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Noise levels can be high, and physical demands are significant.
Job Responsibilities
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.
  • Signal crane operators to position materials according to technical specifications.
  • Align, weld, or bolt structural components in place.
  • Position and secure reinforcing bars or metal mesh within concrete forms to enhance structural integrity.
  • Unload and position steel components for hoisting as required.
  • Interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications accurately.
Certifications
  • Completion of Working at Heights training.
  • WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) Certification.
Specialization Areas
  • Expertise in erecting structural steel.
  • Proficient in installing reinforcing steel.
  • Experience in assembling and erecting metal buildings.
Transportation Requirements

Work Schedule

This is a permanent position requiring approximately 40 hours of work per week.
