Position Summary

  • Deliver clinical guidance and mentorship to nursing staff within a surgical department
  • Facilitate patient care coordination among the healthcare team
  • Encourage collaborative, patient-focused care grounded in evidence-based practices

Professional Experience

  • At least 2 years of recent experience in Surgical Nursing
  • Prior experience in a Charge Nurse role is essential

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred
  • Consideration will be given to equivalent combinations of education and experience

Licensure and Certification

  • Current registration with the CRNM is mandatory
  • Active involvement in professional organizations is preferred

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven scope of practice in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act
  • Assessment based on experience, education, patient care competencies, leadership abilities, communication skills, critical thinking, quality enhancement, teaching capabilities, research acumen, professional growth, and seniority
  • References may be requested
