About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and attentive individual to provide exceptional service to our guests in the Fairmont Gold lounge. As a Fairmont Gold Lounge Attendant, you will be responsible for:

  • Offering professional, friendly, and engaging service to guests
  • Providing exceptional table service in the Fairmont Gold lounge
  • Preparing cocktails, coffees, teas, and other beverages for guests
  • Setting up and breaking down food and beverage presentations in the lounge
  • Assisting guests with food and beverage menu items and ensuring knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods
  • Maintaining the lounge's ambiance and ensuring it is well-maintained at all times
  • Clearing dishes from guest tables and ensuring cleanliness of the lounge and service areas
  • Identifying guest preferences and developing strong guest relationships to ensure Fairmont Gold loyalty
  • Organizing the Fairmont Gold pantry and storage areas to ensure efficiency
  • Assisting with controlling inventory needed for Fairmont Gold pantry and storage areas
  • Creating strong relationships with departments that support Fairmont Gold, primarily the culinary and stewarding departments
  • Ensuring all Fairmont Chateau Laurier policies, procedures, and corporate Fairmont Gold standards are known, followed, and acted upon at all times
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Food and Beverage serving experience
  • Smart serve certification
  • Excellent interpersonal and English/French communication skills
  • A professional presentation
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Bar tending skills an asset
Physical Aspects of the Position

This role requires frequent standing and walking throughout the shift, frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs, occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramp.
