Position Overview:
The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator is accountable for both proactive and reactive maintenance within the English Schools Foundation (ESF) facilities, ensuring they meet the operational requirements of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, strategize, implement, and oversee preventative maintenance initiatives for designated educational institutions in alignment with ESF standards and protocols.
- Manage maintenance projects, including the execution of procurement processes, issuance of work orders, and quality assurance of completed tasks.
- Gather, sustain, update, and analyze as-built documentation and maintenance records from project teams or external sources.
- Establish a comprehensive maintenance database and determine optimal usage for maintenance scheduling, ordering, and financial oversight.
- Evaluate real-world scenarios and propose both immediate and long-term enhancement recommendations.
- Conduct quality assurance assessments and customer satisfaction evaluations.
- Maintain and refresh the inventory database for equipment and materials, work order systems, and lists of approved contractors and consultants.

Qualifications:
- A degree or higher diploma in Building Surveying or related fields.
- Experience in workshop and direct oversight of building fabric repairs, including but not limited to concrete restoration, leak remediation, waterproofing applications, and decorative tasks such as plastering, painting, and carpentry.
- Hands-on experience in plumbing construction, electrical testing and repairs, pump maintenance, and ventilation system upkeep.
- Possession of a Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate is essential.
- Training in safety supervision is preferred.
- A minimum of 6-8 years of practical experience in maintenance management, ideally acquired from consulting firms, service providers, or property management entities.

Additional Skills:
- Ability to develop a thorough maintenance strategy encompassing time, cost, quality, and safety considerations.
- Familiarity with technical specifications and methodologies related to building repairs.
- Knowledge of building materials and maintenance practices, including roofing, painting, concrete repair, metalwork, carpentry, and flooring.
- Experience in tender and contract format development.
- Proficiency in budget planning and management.
- Experience in database development and maintenance contract execution.
