POSITION OVERVIEW
The role of the Facility Maintenance Specialist is to ensure that Advantage Communications Inc. maintains a clean and healthy environment for all employees and visitors. Upholding our commitment to cleanliness as a top priority is essential in this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Maintain cleanliness and care for the premises to guarantee a safe and hygienic atmosphere.
- Perform cleaning tasks in offices, meeting rooms, and all communal areas. This includes mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Regularly wash and sanitize all restroom facilities, ensuring all fixtures are clean and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Empty waste receptacles and replace liners as needed, ensuring proper disposal of waste materials.
- Clean entrance and exit areas, including glass surfaces and door hardware, to provide a welcoming environment.
- Conduct weekly cleaning of kitchen appliances, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Spot clean walls and maintain overall cleanliness of the building.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are stored safely and organized.
- Attend regular meetings to discuss maintenance and cleaning protocols.
- Carry out minor maintenance tasks such as painting and light bulb replacements as needed.
SUPERVISORY ROLE
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Familiarity with standard cleaning practices, chemicals, and equipment.
- Understanding of safety protocols related to cleaning materials.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
