Job Overview:
Heidelberg Materials is seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner at our facility, reporting to the Reliability Engineer. This role is crucial for ensuring the operational efficiency of our plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily maintenance operations, prioritizing and scheduling tasks from the work order backlog to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities. Continuously assess and enhance preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime and optimize resource utilization. Ensure compliance with all regulatory inspections to uphold safety standards and minimize operational disruptions. Provide leadership and direction to the mechanical maintenance team, collaborating with production and other departments to streamline maintenance activities. Maintain comprehensive documentation, including equipment inventories, supplier contacts, maintenance manuals, and performance metrics. Manage parts availability for scheduled work orders by coordinating with the stores department for efficient procurement and inventory control. Assist in the development of the annual maintenance budget and long-term departmental objectives aligned with plant goals. Support maintenance projects by identifying necessary parts, tools, and manpower for effective execution. Analyze maintenance costs and propose strategies for cost reduction. Facilitate regular planning meetings to discuss necessary repairs and maintenance support across all shifts. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred or equivalent experience as a Licensed Millwright. Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance or production within a plant environment, preferably in cement manufacturing. Experience in supervising staff and managing maintenance operations. Strong understanding of maintenance principles and practices, with a willingness to learn. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Familiarity with large rotating machinery and industrial equipment. Demonstrated project management capabilities across multiple departments. In-depth knowledge of plant operations, equipment repair techniques, and resource planning. Proficient in purchasing principles and inventory management. Excellent communication skills to ensure effective coordination and collaboration. Strong computer skills, including experience with SAP for maintenance management. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Access, and Project. Ability to perform physical tasks, including walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.Work Environment:
