Job Summary:

Xpera is seeking an Environmental Response Project Manager to join our remediation and emergency response team in New Brunswick. The successful candidate will manage projects related to transportation, residential fuel oil, and commercial chemical spills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage emergency response activities, including initial investigation, real-time remedial planning, retaining, and managing sub-contractors, cost control, field supervision, and documentation.
  • Project manage contractors in the field and document remediation activities as they progress.
  • Prepare client and regulatory reports, liaise with regulators, and engage with clients and stakeholders.
  • Participate in business development activities and contribute to the growth of Xpera's environmental services.
  • Travel to project sites, including potential evening and weekend work, for which compensation will be provided.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Science or Engineering (Environmental or Earth Sciences preferred) or related diploma with applicable experience.
  • A minimum of five years' experience within the environmental field, with at least two years of project management experience.
  • Experience in soil and groundwater remediation projects, including delineation, monitoring, and management.
  • Experience with invoicing, budgeting, and other areas of project management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned region.
  • A flexible schedule, with willingness to work after hours on weekends when required.
