About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at CARAVEL GROUP INC. as a Furniture Craftsman. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality cabinets and furniture pieces using various woodworking techniques and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Fabrication: Study plans and specifications to create custom cabinet and furniture designs, and fabricate parts and components using power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers.
  • Assembly and Finishing: Assemble and trim joints to form complete units, and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and test finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Maintenance and Organization: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and estimate costs and materials for projects.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in woodworking or a related field.
  • Skills: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with standing for extended periods.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
