About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team at A&W. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers in a fast-paced environment
    • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner
    • Upsell and promote menu items, increasing sales and revenue
  • Inventory and Stock Management
    • Receive and stock inventory, ensuring accurate counts and minimal waste
    • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, reporting any discrepancies to management
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
    • Communicate effectively with management and staff, providing updates and feedback
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
    • Will train on the job
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 35-hour workweek. The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring the ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of energy throughout the shift.
