Senior Environmental Project Manager

Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Senior Project Manager will oversee a range of projects for diverse clients and will strive to become the primary contact for a designated group of clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a variety of regulatory and due diligence projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion.
  • Engage with clients to comprehend their project needs.
  • Draft proposals for potential projects.
  • Conduct senior technical reviews of regulatory and due diligence submissions.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing department to foster new client relationships and maintain existing ones.
  • Develop leadership and mentorship skills by guiding junior and intermediate staff.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Science (preferably Environmental or Earth Sciences) or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Applied Science.
  • A P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of years' experience in environmental consulting, with at least 3 years in a project management role.
  • Proficient in conducting and managing Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments for transactional due diligence, including soil vapour and indoor air quality assessments.
  • Experience with Phase One and Two Environmental Site Assessments in support of filing Records of Site Condition.
  • Familiarity with O. Reg. 406/19 (Excess Soil Management).
  • Experience in underground storage tank removal programs and/or remedial excavations.
  • Competence in invoicing, budgeting, and project-related financial management.
  • Experience in business development and client engagement.
  • Exceptional communication and professional presentation skills.
  • Strong writing capabilities.
  • High attention to detail.
  • A valid driver's license and insurance are necessary.
