We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Category Manager to join our team at TD. As a key member of our Strategic Sourcing Group, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Category Strategy Development
    • Develop and implement global category strategies that leverage category management and best practices to drive business value.
    • Collaborate with business partners to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Strategic Sourcing
    • Lead the development and implementation of category and strategic sourcing strategies that support TD's business objectives and mitigate risks.
    • Ensure effective delivery of SSG services to business partners and prompt resolution of issues.
  • Leadership and Coaching
    • Provide guidance and coaching to practitioners, business, and executives within the area of expertise.
    • Foster a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.
  • Team Management
    • Cultivate and model the Colleague Promise to support colleague growth and a culture of care.
    • Build and retain an engaged and diverse team that embraces diversity of thought, creativity, and curiosity.
Requirements
  • Post-Secondary Education
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • At least 7+ years of experience in people management
  • Strong leadership and coaching experience
  • Experienced sourcing practitioner with a deep understanding of contract terms and contractual language
  • Proven track record of delivering significant cost savings through effective implementation of sourcing strategies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Self-starter who can take ownership and accountability and lead projects independently
