About the Opportunity

The Upper Grand District School Board is seeking qualified applicants for our Office, Clerical, and Technical (OCT) Casual Supply List. This position provides coverage for various administrative positions in offices of the Board, elementary and secondary schools.

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Perform reception duties
  • Process student attendance information
  • Use a variety of computer software (Edsembli, Microsoft Office, Google, etc.)
  • Provide administrative support
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent education and experience deemed equivalent by the Board
  • 1-3 years of experience working in an office environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to function effectively with students, staff, parents, members of the public
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as a member of a team
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google applications
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with demanding situations
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and privacy of student information
  • Flexibility, patience, and the ability to work closely with the administration
