Overview: The primary role of the Infrastructure Analyst II is to engage in the strategic planning, construction, management, monitoring, and support of infrastructure systems, including operating systems, servers, storage solutions, databases, and backup systems at remote server locations. This position adheres to policies and procedures that align with industry standards, such as the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). The analyst will also work collaboratively with various teams during the implementation of new solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Incident Management: Proactively monitor systems to identify performance issues, adhering to established protocols for troubleshooting. Ensure system operations are verified and escalate incidents within defined timeframes.
  • Product Installation: Execute routine installations and configurations in accordance with standard protocols, ensuring seamless integration of systems and products.
  • Operations Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance activities, including management and support of ESX, Windows, and virtual environments, as well as Storage Area Networks. Oversee data backup and recovery processes, manage Active Directory, and support Microsoft services such as DHCP, DNS, and DFS.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor system performance to anticipate potential failures and address them proactively.
  • Problem Resolution: Tackle procedural, operational, and technical challenges effectively.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside other Holcim Group companies to develop and leverage best practices in technology for portfolio applications.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with business representatives and various stakeholders for strategic planning, status updates, and integration activities related to the portfolio.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in a related field.
  • Travel: Minimal travel required (less than 15%).

Additional Requirements:

  • Certifications: VMware Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Professional, or equivalent certifications.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Sheets.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience with VMware ESX, Windows Operating Systems, and virtual environments.
  • Familiarity with Storage Area Networks and Microsoft services.
  • Understanding of network architecture and infrastructure security.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Availability for on-call duties as scheduled.

Work Environment: The role may involve exposure to various conditions, including working near mechanical parts and potential hazards. The analyst should be prepared for a range of physical and mental demands, including the need for concentration and decision-making under pressure.
