Job Summary

The University of Fredericton is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Academic Leadership and Program Development Director to join our team. This is a pivotal academic leadership role dedicated to the strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the institution's educational programs and curricular offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Academic Leadership and Coordination: Lead the design, evaluation, and enhancement of academic programs to ensure rigorous standards and alignment with institutional goals.
  • Foster Collaboration: Foster collaboration and synergies between different programs to enhance the overall academic experience.
  • Curriculum Review and Assessment: Oversee the review and assessment of curricula to ensure they meet high standards of quality and relevance.
  • Faculty Support and Development: Provide leadership and support to faculty in curriculum development and instructional innovation.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning processes and contribute to the development of academic policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years experience in an administrative leadership position/role in a higher education setting.
  • PhD or other terminal degree with a track record in research or teaching at the post-secondary level.
  • Experience with program development and instructional design.
  • Outstanding skills in writing, oral communication, and developing interpersonal relationships.
  • Experience in imagining, developing, implementing, and overseeing academic programs' curricular processes and collaboratively leading and supporting faculty.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with online and hybrid learning modalities.
  • Proven track record of fostering innovation in curriculum and program development.
  • Familiarity with data-driven decision-making and educational technology.
