Position Overview

Reporting to the Senior Manager, HFS/Specialty Retail Channel, the Ontario Regional Sales Executive will play a pivotal role within the Sales Team and lead initiatives in the Natural Health sector across Canada.

The Ontario Regional Sales Executive is tasked with strengthening existing partnerships within their designated client portfolio while identifying and pursuing new business avenues that align with Nature's Way Canada's overarching sales objectives. This will be accomplished by delivering value, managing client expectations, providing outstanding support, and maintaining a customer-focused approach.

This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the business landscape to implement best practices for both customer and consumer experiences within Nature's Way Canada. The successful candidate will devise and communicate strategies that link corporate initiatives with customer interactions. The position will manage a diverse range of clients within the Health Food and Specialty Retail Channel.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Management & Strategic Planning

  • Lead the formulation of business strategies aimed at enhancing net sales and profitability for clients within assigned responsibilities.
  • Achieve or surpass key performance indicators including Sales Revenue, Trade Spend, and Gross to Net metrics.
  • Utilize market insights to craft compelling sales narratives and share best practices across the organization.
  • Drive overall net sales growth for assigned clients, meeting annual revenue and profit targets through the endorsement of key business initiatives.
  • Develop strategic business plans that foster mutually beneficial relationships with key retailers and distributors, driving significant growth for Nature's Way Canada.
  • Ensure achievement of distribution, shelf placement, and pricing objectives.
  • Manage expenditures within the allocated annual budget and complete necessary reports as required.
  • Leverage expertise to refine Corporate Sales strategies.
  • Provide leadership to meet financial objectives.

Account Management

  • Build strong relationships with key strategic clients.
  • Establish effective collaborations with current and prospective business partners.
  • Transform superior account management into preferred vendor status with clients, demonstrating these skills to other associates.
  • Design and implement effective sales promotion campaigns to stimulate additional sales.
  • Create and maintain presentations and required documentation within the CRM system.
  • Drive sales through marketing initiatives, addressing customer issues, suggesting product modifications, and facilitating sales negotiations.
  • Participate in the development of in-store merchandising strategies that enhance brand visibility and awareness.
  • Utilize trade funds effectively to promote incremental consumption through assigned retail chains.
  • Develop comprehensive product knowledge for top-selling items and effectively communicate their features and benefits to clients.
  • Coordinate valuable in-store activities with the consumer sales team and regional managers.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations as needed.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of successful account management or support experience in the Canadian consumer packaged goods sector, with a strong eagerness to learn.
  • Experience in the Natural Health Industry is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in business or equivalent senior management sales experience.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, negotiation skills, teamwork, leadership, strong communication abilities, and analytical skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of retail and wholesale sales principles and practices.

Travel Requirements

Travel within the region is essential to effectively understand and execute organizational objectives.
