Horizon Recruitment Inc. is on the lookout for a skilled Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support our client in navigating intricate vendor sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, and RFP processes aimed at enhancing the Supply Chain Management (SCM) function throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and oversee prospects for strategic vendor negotiations.
  • Collaborate with a diverse array of internal stakeholders to collect requirements and devise solutions tailored to their business needs.
  • Formulate, assess, negotiate, and manage service agreements.
  • Lead competitive bidding activities, encompassing RFP creation, supplier assessment and selection, contract negotiation, and award processes.
  • Accountable for the formulation and implementation of optimal sourcing and contracting strategies and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related fields.
  • Preferred certifications include Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP).
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, with 10 or more years being advantageous.
  • Proven work experience reflecting competency and progressive responsibility in strategic sourcing.
  • Experience in contract formulation and a solid understanding of legal terms and conditions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing sourcing and negotiation strategies.
  • Skills in cross-functional leadership and team development.
  • Proficient computer skills, with experience in SAP considered an asset.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.
