Position Overview

The Food Retail Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operations within a retail food environment. This position requires a blend of leadership, organizational skills, and customer service expertise.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and mentor staff including apprentices and design teams.
  • Delegate tasks to sales personnel.
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members.
  • Manage inventory and order merchandise as needed.
  • Authorize product returns and handle customer transactions.
  • Generate reports regarding sales performance and staffing issues.
  • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and supply challenges.
  • Maintain organized inventory systems.
  • Coordinate the activities of team members effectively.

  • Direct oversight of grocery clerks and shelf stockers.
