We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Halton Healthcare. As a key member of our 6C Oncology unit, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care in a timely and safe manner.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and support to patients with oncology diagnoses and general medicine diagnoses.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and perform various medical procedures as required.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment that promotes teamwork and open communication.
Requirements:
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Recent acute care medical experience.
- Advanced RPN and assessment skills, including aseptic technique, N/G insertion, suctioning, and airway maintenance.
- Medication administration certificate an asset.
- Organized and able to work in a team environment.
- Caring, compassionate, and customer-focused attitude towards patients and families.
