Executive Director, Administration

The Law Society of British Columbia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to fill the position of Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO). As the CEO, you will be responsible for leading the organization in its mission to protect the public interest in the administration of justice by setting and enforcing standards of professional conduct for lawyers.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the legal profession and the ability to navigate complex issues associated with the enforcement of high standards for practicing lawyers. You will also have excellent conceptual, communications, and leadership skills, with a proven track record of working collaboratively with boards and staff in a transparent team setting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the organization in its mission to protect the public interest in the administration of justice
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance public confidence in the legal profession
- Collaborate with the board and staff to achieve organizational goals
- Provide leadership and direction to the organization's senior management team
- Represent the Law Society in various forums and stakeholder groups
Requirements:
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. law, business, public administration)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role in the legal profession or a related field
- Proven track record of leading complex organizations and teams
- Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to navigate complex issues and build strong relationships with stakeholders
