Job Title: Administrative Assistant to Executive Director

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to our Executive Director, Indigenous Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating meetings, managing schedules, and ensuring the smooth operation of the Executive Director's office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate meetings and events, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
  • Manage the Executive Director's schedule, including coordinating travel arrangements and ensuring timely responses to correspondence.
  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, including preparing reports, presentations, and other documents.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Indigenous communities and organizations.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information, including Indigenous-specific data and documents.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as business administration or Indigenous studies.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a healthcare or Indigenous organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
