Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at O-Sho Japanese Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our customers.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their roles.

Manage Food and Beverage Operations

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and prepare budget and cost estimates to ensure that our restaurant is operating within budget.

Provide Exceptional Customer Service

Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, and ensure that our customers receive exceptional service and a positive dining experience.

Maintain Accurate Records

Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.

Establish Work Schedules

Establish work schedules for staff, ensuring that we have adequate coverage during peak periods and that our staff are working efficiently and effectively.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a food service management role.

Work Environment

Fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and physically demanding work.

Personal Suitability

Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a team player attitude.

Working Conditions

Permanent position, 30 to 40 hours per week, and English language required.
