About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Audio Designer to join our team at Epic Games. As a key member of our audio team, you will be responsible for creating immersive audio experiences for our games and engine technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement high-quality audio assets using a DAW and fundamental audio concepts and digital signal processing.
  • Collaborate with other sound designers to ensure seamless integration of audio systems and features.
  • Develop and maintain audio tools and systems to empower content creators and improve workflows.
  • Work closely with diverse teams and disciplines to integrate audio systems and drive audio quality.
  • Engage in feedback and iteration processes for audio asset creation and implementation.
Requirements
  • Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine components, including scripting, level editor, animation, and Sequencer editors.
  • Experience with Wwise implementation and integration.
  • Understanding of game development methodologies, such as the Actor+Component model, Singletons, and data-driven design.
  • Surface-level understanding of C++, Lua, Python, C#, or other scripting languages and their role in Unreal Engine development.
  • Ability to effectively debug scripting logic issues.
  • Experience creating quality audio assets and familiarity with fundamental audio concepts and digital signal processing.
  • Ability to discuss and deconstruct current games' audio quality and implementation.
  • Experience working on AAA game products' audio.
