About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audio Designer to join our team at Electronic Arts. As an Audio Designer, you will play a critical role in bringing our game's audio to life, working closely with our game designers and gameplay engineers to create an immersive and engaging experience for players.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement high-quality audio assets, including sound effects, music, and voiceovers.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our game's audio tools pipeline and advise our engineering department on ways to improve its capabilities and efficiency.
  • Record and design original sounds across a range of categories, including weapons, creatures, ambiences, and mechanical elements, to shape the sonic identity of our game's universe.
  • Contribute to the development of our game's audio strategy and ensure that it aligns with the overall game vision.
  • Work with our team to identify and prioritize audio-related tasks and ensure timely completion.
  • Model the culture and help build the team by rotating through interview panels, onboarding new hires, and contributing to open team discussions.
  • Promote and build an inclusive work environment that values diversity and fosters a sense of community.
  • Contribute to project-level discussions and collaborate with all disciplines to ensure that our game meets the highest standards of quality and excellence.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in video game audio design.
  • A strong online portfolio showcasing shipped work in an in-game context.
  • Ability to explain audio design process and break down creative philosophy in depth, citing specific examples from past work.
