About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Audio Artist to join our team at Amazon Games Montréal. As a key member of our audio team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and producing the sound environment for an unannounced video game.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement audio to immerse players in the game world, enhancing gameplay and player experience.
  • Collaborate with the audio director and gameplay team to ensure sound design aligns with the game's vision and artistic direction.
  • Participate in game creation through creative cells to enhance gameplay experience and player immersion from a sound perspective.
  • Determine sound requirements of the project and ensure necessary resources are produced.
  • Work with design, animation, VFX, and other teams to ensure audio matches the game's vision.
  • Help plan and track audio production throughout the production process.
  • Take an active role in debugging and ensuring the final product meets quality standards.

Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in video game sound development.
  • Excellent knowledge of DAWs (Pro Tools, Reaper, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Wwise.
  • Advanced skills in sound design, mixing, and music design.
  • Artistic and creative sensibility.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, in French and English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Unreal.
  • Knowledge of field recording and sound synthesis techniques.
  • Familiarity with audio and studio equipment and SFX libraries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to clearly explain complex ideas.
  • Musical skills as a musician and/or composer.
  • Passion for MOBA games.
