About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Audio Designer to join our team at Epic Games. As a key member of our audio team, you will be responsible for creating immersive audio experiences for our games and engine technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement high-quality audio assets for our games and engine technology
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate audio features and ensure seamless playback
  • Develop and maintain audio tools and systems to improve workflow and efficiency
  • Contribute to the development of Unreal Engine's audio features and integration
  • Work closely with sound designers to create engaging audio experiences
Requirements
  • Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine components, including scripting, level editor, animation, and Sequencer editors
  • Experience with Wwise implementation and integration
  • Strong understanding of game development methodologies, such as the Actor+Component model, Singletons, and data-driven design
  • Proficiency in C++, Lua, Python, C#, or other scripting languages
  • Ability to effectively debug scripting logic issues
  • Experience creating quality audio assets using a DAW and familiarity with fundamental audio concepts and digital signal processing
  • Ability to talk about and deconstruct other current games' audio quality and implementation
  • Experience working on AAA game products' audio
