About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Audio Designer to join our team at Epic Games. As a key member of our audio team, you will be responsible for creating immersive audio experiences for our games and engine technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement high-quality audio assets for our games and engine technology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of audio features and technologies.
  • Develop and maintain audio tools and systems to empower content creators and improve workflows.
  • Engage in the feedback and iteration processes for audio asset creation and implementation.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform audio design decisions.
Requirements
  • Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine components, including scripting, level editor, animation, and Sequencer editors.
  • Experience with game development methodologies such as the Actor+Component model, Singletons, and data-driven design.
  • Surface-level understanding of C++, Lua, Python, C#, or other scripting languages and an understanding of code and its role in Unreal Engine development.
  • Ability to effectively debug scripting logic issues.
  • Experience creating quality audio assets using a DAW and familiarity with fundamental audio concepts and digital signal processing.
  • Ability to talk about and deconstruct other current games' audio quality and implementation.
  • Experience working on a AAA game product's audio.
  • Extra plus for experience with working on vehicle frameworks, racing games, or an interest in working on vehicles.
