Opportunity Summary

This role is designed to assist the Senior Director in formulating and executing a thorough Technology Risk Management (TRM) strategy, framework, and roadmap. The focus will be on assessing and reporting the organization's information risk and technology landscape.

This position will emphasize information and technology risks, with responsibilities including the identification, design, and enhancement of essential senior management metrics (Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators) for reporting, which are critical to governance, oversight, and control initiatives.

The team is tasked with collecting, consolidating, and producing weekly, monthly, and ad hoc metrics that inform the organization's risk profile and support various governance committees within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of the Information Risk Analysis strategy and framework.
  • Lead investigative assessments that incorporate key risk indicators and other risk factors to identify risk trends and irregularities.
  • Conduct analyses to determine implications and outline subsequent steps and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure that significant trends, issues, and monitoring items are communicated effectively from risk posture data metrics into management summaries.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance data quality alignment across all organizational functions.
  • Oversee the creation and dissemination of weekly, monthly, and ad hoc senior management reports and presentations.
  • Proactively communicate any changes in reporting and processes to contributors based on management requests and personal insights.

Impact Creation

  • Drive resolution of business metric gaps and issues while establishing best practices, process documentation, and support materials for the Information Risk Analysis program.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to identify and implement automation solutions, working closely with Information Risk Intelligence and Reporting team members to gather, review, and consolidate risk data for critical reporting to senior and executive management.

Candidate Profile

  • A degree in Technology, Business, Risk Management, Auditing, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Controls, IT Risk, Data, or Risk roles, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Experience in IT risk management, data analysis, metrics design and development, and reporting for risk functions.
  • Proven experience in defining and reporting on Risk Posture.
  • Ability to analyze critical business metrics, KRIs, and other metrics that facilitate effective decision-making in business and risk functions.
  • Capability to independently manage complex projects and ad-hoc requests as needed.
