Position Overview:

The Shipping Receiving Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and precise execution of all shipping, receiving, and inventory management tasks.


Key Responsibilities:
Shipping

  • Prepare documentation and compile orders for dispatch
  • Manage the shipment of freight, trade shows, and standard orders
  • Collaborate with freight carriers to arrange transportation
  • Generate packing lists and bills of lading (BOL) using the manifest system
  • Create export documentation for international shipments
  • Optimize load density and operational efficiencies
Receiving

  • Confirm receipts and orders for correctness, tally, and document any damage on the bill of lading
  • Maintain all necessary reports to monitor receiving performance metrics
  • Coordinate receiving schedules and update relevant documentation
  • Manage incoming returned goods
Both Shipping & Receiving

  • Update the Warehouse Management System (WMS) with all transactions
  • Report any discrepancies as needed
  • Complete essential paperwork and track project time documentation
  • Support team members in achieving and surpassing customer satisfaction
  • Inform supervisors and team leads about any issues or concerns
  • Engage in process enhancement by communicating with supervisors and/or team leads
  • Maintain a tidy, organized, and safe workspace
  • Uphold and support corporate quality, health, and safety standards, processes, policies, practices, and work instructions (ISO standards where applicable)
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory
  • Proficiency in PC computer skills is essential
  • Prior experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is required
  • Previous experience in a warehouse setting is necessary
  • Strong mathematical and reading abilities
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Capability to work independently or collaboratively in a team
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy is critical

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift (lbs), carry, bend, sit, stretch, and stand for extended periods.
