Job Summary:

The Sales Representative position at Core-Mark Canada is a field-based sales role that requires a strong ability to develop and expand a designated sales region. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for analyzing individual customer needs, prospecting and onboarding new customer accounts, and educating customers on convenience and foodservice promotions, programs, and marketing policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Growth: Grow sales and profit margins through analyzing individual customer needs and developing customized sales approaches.
  • Customer Onboarding: Prospect and onboard new customer accounts, ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process.
  • Product Knowledge: Educate customers on convenience and foodservice promotions, programs, and marketing policies, ensuring they are aware of new products and services.
  • Sales Strategy: Execute on sales strategy and territory management, planning a sales approach customized with individual customers.
  • Account Management: Establish a personal relationship with customers to better understand their needs and requirements, and review weekly/monthly reports with the store manager to identify opportunities.
  • Operations: Perform routine inspections of customers' product sections and displays, update shelf tags, and assist with processing merchandise returns.

Requirements:

  • Proven Sales Experience: Proven success with closing sales for a variety of product lines, with a minimum of 1-3 years of previous experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to conduct professional, results-driven customer presentations.
  • Analytical Skills: Solutions-minded with the ability to analyze and critically evaluate situations, and intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED, and a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
