SUMMARY

The Financial Controller serves as a key figure within the Shared Services team, collaborating closely with executive leadership and the accounting department to ensure that the financial operations of Think Shift Inc. effectively support strategic decision-making. This role is pivotal in organizing, generating, and disseminating comprehensive reports on the company's activities, while also providing insights into future projections.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
  1. Supervise all aspects of organizational accounting and reporting, along with managing the accounting staff.
  2. Partner with the VP of Operations to oversee essential company metrics and financial ratios, such as gross margin.
  3. Engage in regular communication and collaboration with the senior leadership team.
  4. Prepare quarterly reports for the Board and lead financial presentations.
  5. Manage relationships with financial institutions, auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
  6. Coordinate with client teams regarding financial issues.
  7. Oversee all shareholder reporting processes.
  8. Administer or supervise equity transactions and company valuations.
  9. Support and manage treasury operations.
  10. Contribute significantly to a dynamic team focused on fostering growth and success within the marketing sector.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • An individual aspiring to advance into a C-suite position.
  • A Post-Secondary Degree along with an Accounting Designation.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a professional environment, preferably in a job costing context.
  • Experience within an advertising agency is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with multi-entity and multi-currency accounting practices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • In-depth understanding of accounting processes and protocols.
  • Proficient in advanced MS Excel functionalities.
  • Developing skills in presentations, including the use of relevant business reporting and data management applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • A strong desire and capability to foster personal and team growth.
  • Understanding of data management within a multi-application ERP framework.
